Berke Yapa (born in 2000) is an Istanbul-based mechanical engineer/generative artist who uniquely blends generative methods such as algorithmic systems and creative coding and exhibits them in digital and physical environments. Yapa's works deal with the simplicity within the order created by systemic chaos, in an orderly/irregular manner, within the abstract. Yapa, who has been interested in geometric patterns since his childhood, uses computational mathematical algorithms and creative coding languages to create abstract paintings based on the concepts of chaos and order. The artist, who has a background in data science and computer programs, combines art practices with these fields and explores the unique and endless collaboration between man and machine. In this process, he not only establishes a dialogue with the machines, but also builds a bridge between himself and the machine. It has been shown internationally at events and collected by individuals and institutions.
